The Plurabelle Paddlers was awarded funding from the Arthur Guinness Funds in 2013. With these funds we were able to coach and send a 25-strong breast cancer team from Carlow, Cork, Clonmel, Donegal, Dublin, Northern Ireland and Waterford to the IBCPC Dragon Dragon Boat Festival in Sarasota, Florida from 24th-26th October 2014. One of just 96 teams registered to take part from around the world at the festival, we participated as 'Team Ireland' in the 500m category.
